Policy statement re email correspondence: We appreciate that it is convenient to email your GP for medical advice. However, to do our best for you, it does take time to review your circumstances and decide on the best response. So, from 1 October 2017, Green Bay Medical Centre will introduce a $10 charge for email consultations. It will still be fine to request a script by email from the nursing team at nurse@gbmc.co.nz without additional charge.
Dr Cushla Borthwick has a post graduate diploma of obstetrics and a special interest in the care of women and children, including family planning.
Dr Reyneke has more than 35 years experience in General Practice, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology.
Dr Deborah (Deb) Mitchell has a postgraduate Diploma in Child Health and a Postgraduate Certificate in Women’s Health.
Dr Mei Toh joined Green Bay Medical Centre as an associate and will cater to patient consultations Monday to Wednesday and Fridays.
Dr Ona obtained a medical degree from the University of Auckland in 2007. She is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Dr Therése graduated with her medical degree from Lund University in 2005. She is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Nursing Team at Green Bay Medical Centre collectively has over 230 years of nursing experience. Each nurse has their own area of expertise and interests. This enables us to offer a comprehensive range of clinics for specialist nursing care as well as the day to day care you expect from us. The nurses strive to offer you the highest standard of care supported by research and delivered with respect, equity and a genuine regard for the people in our community. You will see the nurses in the clinic rooms delivering care at the Practice but what you don’t see is the behind scenes work being done on the phones, emails and care planning that goes on in the back offices. We are well supported by our Doctors and Receptionists to offer you the best care possible.
Our amazing receptionist team are who you will initially speak to on the other end of the phone when ringing in to our practice and who you will see at the desk on arrival. Each administrator brings a point of difference to the team, making your patient experience as friendly and efficient as possible (when you may not be at your best). We work hard behind the scenes to make sure your appointments and care with our GP’s and meet your needs and expectations. We strive to provide excellence to each and every one if our patients.
The reception team are the ultimate multitaskers! They appreciate your patience and understanding when they are on the phone or dealing with other patients. Please be assured they will be there to help you as soon as possible.
